Donations, support & Useful Websites

Westland Horticulture support Blunts Hall by donating garden products in return the money we save is given to the National Garden Scheme

About the Scheme

WFGA – (Work and Retrain As a Gardener Scheme) was launched in 1993 to provide paid, part-time, practical horticultural training.  The trainee works for 12-14 hours a week for the whole year, in a carefully sourced garden, under the instruction of the garden owner or head gardener. We have to students from WFGA:

In 2023 Nicky Sharpe joined the team from the WRAGS scheme. After her one year training program she is now working with us two days a week.

In early 2024 Charlotte Perry also joined the team through WRAGS. Without them we would not be able to keep moving the garden on to where it is now.’
